Floorplan 3D

2D Floor Plan to 3D Converter

Upload a floor plan image — a photo, scan or screenshot — mark the rooms, and turn it into an editable floor plan you can furnish and walk through in 3D. Everything runs in your browser; your image never leaves your device (unless you use the optional AI detection with your own API key).

Or start from a preset plan:

Opens instantly in the editor, ready to furnish — and you can reshape it any time with “Edit plan layout”.

How it works
The rectangles you draw become rooms. Shared edges become interior walls, outer edges become exterior walls, and doors and windows are placed automatically. The result opens in the Floorplan 3D editor, where you can add furniture, change floors, demolish non-load-bearing walls and take a 3D walkthrough.
Scale matters
Calibrate with any printed dimension on your plan (a wall length, or the total width) so furniture sizes and area estimates are real. Without calibration we assume the plan is about 11 m (36 ft) wide.
Free & private
No account, no upload, no watermark. Your plan is stored only in your own browser. Built on the open-source floorplan-3d project (MIT).

Frequently asked questions

Is this converter free?

Yes. Converting, editing, furnishing and sharing plans is completely free — no sign up, no watermark, no paywalled features. The optional AI room detection uses your own API key, so a small per-use fee may be charged by your AI provider; manual tracing is always free.

What kinds of floor plans can I convert?

PNG or JPG images — estate-agent plans, listing screenshots, scanned blueprints, even a photo of a hand-drawn sketch — and PDF floor plans, including multi-page PDFs where you pick the page. You can also start from a blank canvas or from a preset plan.

Is my floor plan uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything runs in your browser: your image never leaves your device and your plan is stored only in your own browser. The single exception is the optional AI detection, which sends the image directly from your browser to the AI provider you configured, using your own key.

How accurate is the 3D result?

The 3D geometry is built exactly from the rectangles you draw and the scale you calibrate, so accuracy is in your hands: trace along the inner walls and calibrate with the longest printed dimension on the plan for the best result.

What if a room is not rectangular?

Cover the main area with one rectangle — that is what most people do for an L-shaped room. If both parts of the room matter, draw two rectangles side by side. Walls, doors and windows are generated from the rectangles you draw.

Can I change the plan after converting?

Yes. Before converting you can flip any door's swing side or remove doors and windows. Afterwards, the editor's File menu offers “Edit plan layout…”, which loads your plan back here as rectangles so you can adjust it and reconvert.
