Privacy Policy

The short version
Floorplan 3D has no user accounts and no server-side storage of your designs. Your floor plans live in your own browser, on your own device. The only times data leaves your device are the ones you choose: the optional AI room detection, the feedback form, and anonymous usage analytics described below.
Your designs and uploaded files
Designs you create are stored only in your browser's local storage. Manual tracing and conversion of an uploaded floor plan image or PDF happen entirely on your device — the file is never uploaded. Share links encode the plan inside the link itself; anyone who has a share link can open that design, so treat share links like the design itself.
If you choose AI room detection, the image is sent once, through this site's proxy, to our AI provider so the rooms can be detected, and the result is returned to your browser. We do not store the image or the result on our servers. If you instead use your own AI provider key, your browser communicates with that provider directly, under that provider's privacy policy.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity to understand, in aggregate, which pages and features are used, so we can improve the tool. These services set cookies and collect usage data such as pages visited, approximate location, device and browser information, and interactions with the page. We do not use them to identify you personally, and we never sell personal data. See Google's Privacy Policy and Microsoft's Privacy Statement for how they handle this data. You can block analytics cookies with your browser settings or a content blocker without losing any editing features.
Feedback
If you send a message through the feedback form, it is delivered to us by email together with the reply address you optionally provide. We use it only to read and respond to your feedback.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Questions about privacy can be sent through the Feedback button on the editor page.
